We are pleased to announce the launch of EMPATHER – EMbedding PrivAcy-by-Design for TrustwortHy digital technologies in Educational Research, a new initiative funded under the 5th REINFORCING Open Call on Responsible Digitalisation.

Earlier today, EDVOCACY participated in the official Kick-off Meeting, alongside the newly selected REINFORCING grantees from across Europe. The meeting marked the starting point of our journey toward strengthening responsible digital practices in the field of educational research.

EMPATHER, implemented by EDVOCACY in collaboration with the Directorate of Primary Education of Cyclades, aims to integrate privacy, transparency, and ethical digitalisation into everyday research processes. Over the next 12 months, we will work to:

• Develop a practical Privacy-by-Design & ORRI Toolkit for educational research
• Build internal capacity within EDVOCACY
• Engage educators, parents, and students in a participatory co-creation process
• Promote responsible digitalisation across the broader education community
