EDvocacy Completes its Role in the European Commission’s Better Internet for Kids (BIK+) Consultation in Greece

by EDvocacy

We are proud to announce the successful completion of EDvocacy’s role as an expert organization in the European Commission’s Better Internet for Kids (BIK+) consultation in Greece. This collaboration, running from September to December 2024, marked an important milestone in our work to create safer, more inclusive digital spaces for young people.

Throughout the project, EDvocacy engaged with children and young people from across Greece, giving them a platform to voice their thoughts and ideas on digital safety. Their input played a key role in shaping the BIK+ strategy, ensuring it reflects the needs and aspirations of young Greeks.

By reaching out to diverse communities, we’ve helped make the European strategy more inclusive and representative. This project not only amplified the voices of young people but also highlighted the value of working together to tackle digital challenges.

As we close this chapter, we’re proud of the impact we’ve made and the lessons we’ve learned along the way. The insights gathered will continue to guide our efforts as we work toward a safer, more inclusive digital world for children and teens in Greece and beyond.

A big thank you to the European Commission, our partners, and—most of all—the amazing young participants who shared their perspectives with such passion and honesty.

Although this project has ended, our commitment to digital safety and empowerment remains as strong as ever. Stay tuned for more from EDvocacy as we continue to support the next generation in navigating the digital age.
