EDvocacy participates at Design Thinking Workshop by European Digital Education Hub

by EDvocacy

Edvocacy NGO recently participated in a Design Thinking Workshop in School of Desing Thinking at Hasso-Plattner-Institute in Potsdam, Germany, focused on enhancing well-being and active engagement in digital learning environments.

This workshop, part of the #EuropeanDigitalEducationHub initiative, brought together 40 education professionals from across Europe, including product managers, teachers, and ministry officials. The event fostered valuable connections, insightful discussions, and a collaborative spirit.

At Edvocacy NGO, we are eager to apply the knowledge gained from this experience to our ongoing work on creating equitable access to education and developing engaging learning environments.

The main challange of the workshop, the combination of well-being and active engagement in digital learning, highlighted a crucial aspect of the current situation: while access to technology is essential, it alone does not guarantee effective learning experiences. We must focus on leveraging technology to create engaging and inspiring learning environments. The gap between technology and education extends beyond the availability of tools and encompasses how we utilize them to effectively educate and engage learners.

Under the expert guidance of Design Thinking coaches, the workshop participants developed tangible solutions within just 48 hours. The discussions and prototypes were geared toward addressing the critical intersection of mental well-being and engagement in digital learning.

The event highlighted the collective effort and commitment of participants, coaches, and organizers alike. A special thank you goes to key contributors such as Dr. Claudia Nicolai, Jochen Nünning, and the European Digital Education Hub team for their seamless coordination.
